Role Overview: A Financial Operations Analyst, Sales Audit plays a pivotal role in the sales audit team, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting. This involves collaborating with team members to reconcile sales and cash/credit card settlements, investigating differences, and performing accounting under US GAAP and EU statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close activities for areas of responsibility, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, analytical reviews, and research
  • Coordinate the collection of documents and responses for external and internal auditors
  • Investigate and resolve issues between retail systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of sales data recorded in financials
  • Utilize Trintech's ReconNet software to reconcile cash and credit cards between POS, PSP settlement, and bank
  • Ensure daily sales, credit card, PSP, and bank data is loaded into ReconNet, perform data integrity/completeness check, and resolve any differences
  • Review daily cash and credit card activity and research any variances
  • Investigate and resolve differences, escalate, and partner with UK team when needed
  • Report regularly to Manager and UK team regarding potential write-offs and partner with UK team members to resolve aged differences

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Pursuing or completed CWA, CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, or similar qualification (a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in finance and/or audit/assurance
  • Advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, query, etc.)
  • Experience with Trintech ReconNet, SAP, and Island Pacific (a strong plus)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and escalate issues timely
  • Must be able to maintain an exemplary degree of professionalism in all situations
