Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accounting and Reporting Specialist to

join our dynamic finance team. This role will primarily focus on managing a variety of financial

accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing essential support

to business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles,

financial reporting, and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Intercompany Activities:

o Record intercompany transactions, ensuring proper elimination and reconciliation in line

with accounting policies.

o Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure accuracy of intercompany balances and resolve

discrepancies.

2. Accounting & Reporting:

o Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure financial reports are

completed on time.

3. GL Period End Activities:

o Lead and perform general ledger (GL) period-end close activities, ensuring the accuracy

of financial transactions and proper recording in the GL system.

o Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as required for period-end activities.

4. Bank Reconciliation and BS Account Reconciliation:

o Review/Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of

discrepancies between the company's bank accounts and financial records.

o Review/Perform BS Account reconciliations.

5. Financial Reporting:

o Generate and analyze financial reports to provide key insights into the company's

financial health.

o Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of all financial reports.

6. Joint Venture Reporting:

o Accounting for Investments in Associates & Joint Ventures

7. BU Support:

o Provide accounting support to business units (BUs) to ensure their financial transactions

are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

o Collaborate with BUs to improve processes, resolve issues, and enhance financial

understanding.

8. Payroll Accounting:

o Accounting and reporting of payroll transactions, ensuring that payroll costs are

accurately recorded in the GL.

o Work closely with the HR/Payroll team to resolve any discrepancies related to payroll.

9. Treasury Accounting:

o Handle treasury accounting activities, Reconcile Treasury Reval system and ensure

reconciles with accounting system.

o Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all treasury-related transactions.

10. Fixed Asset Accounting:

o Accounting and reporting for fixed assets, including asset acquisitions, disposals, and

depreciation calculations.

o Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies in fixed

asset management.

11. Tax:

o Support Tax service teams to ensure compliance in Income tax accounting, GST

accounting and SST accounting, creating tax provisions etc.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.

 9-12 years of proven experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.

 Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

 Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with ERP systems is a

plus).

 Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to management.
  • Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
