Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maritime Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day technical operations of our vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seaworthiness of the vessels, monitoring performance, and analysing defects.

The role involves tracking vessel reports promptly, analysing performance/defects, and ensuring prompt and effective closures including observations raised during internal/external audits and inspections.

You will also be responsible for monitoring PMS compliance and authenticity, proposing database and system improvements, and preparing annual OPEX budgets.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10-12 years of experience in the shipping industry on large sea-going vessels with an international trading experience and a minimum of 2 years sailing experience as a Chief Engineer.
  • Prefer at least 2 years of shore experience as Superintendent.
  • Maintenance of validity of all certification and documentation.
  • Liaise with classification societies and Flag authorities as necessary.
  • Monitoring speed/cons performance, implementing efficiency improvements.

Desirable skills and qualifications: Experience of having worked on cranes and grabs (for bulk carriers), work experience on ME engines, strong understanding of TMSA & Right ship requirements and implementation (Tankers & Bulkers resp.), promoting a strong safety culture onboard and in technical operations.
