Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of mechanical equipment installation, erection, and commissioning on-site. The engineer will collaborate closely with client engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient work fronts and material availability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules for mechanical activities.
  • Coordinate with client engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure work front and material readiness.
  • Plan, supervise, and monitor the installation, erection, and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as heaters, silos, and piping.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with approved design and quality standards.
  • Maintain site documentation including progress reports, material receipts, and inspection records.
  • Manage manpower deployment and productivity on-site.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and statutory requirements.
  • Support billing and measurement by maintaining accurate BOQs and quantities executed.
  • Attend client review meetings and report project status and constraints.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-7 years' experience in mechanical site execution and planning preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel and Project.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards for construction sites.

Working Conditions:

The Mechanical Engineer will work on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with occasional overtime as required. The work location is Sambalpur, Odisha, India.
