Senior Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely payments, reconciliations, and compliance.

About the Role

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
  • A bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field is preferred.
  • The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, effective English communication skills, and a team player attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate with vendors to obtain payments, refunds, and reconciliation updates.
  2. Update the supplier reconciliation portal to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  3. Work with clients to obtain missing vendor bills and secure approvals.
  4. Prepare and review weekly AP reports, vendor payments, and allocation in books.
  5. Review vendor reconciliations performed by associates.
  6. Obtain W9 forms from vendors and prepare 1099 workings.
  7. Perform tax return reconciliations.
  8. Review sales entries on a weekly basis.
  9. Review sales tax and prompt tax working files, and prepare use tax calculations.
  10. Prepare CRT/TPT/8027 and other county tax returns.
  11. Reconcile balance sheets.
  12. Respond to emails within 48 hours.
  13. Deliver AP reports to clients on time.
  14. Meet internal month-end closing deadlines (financials).
  15. Train new team members and assist them in settling.
  16. E nsure adherence to internal processes and systems.
  17. L eanr new processes and work on assigned roles.
  18. A ttend internal training sessions for personal/business growth.
  19. M entor and train associates in day-to-day operations.
