Role Purpose:

The role involves reviewing Business Continuity Plans of vendors and ensuring BCP testing is performed jointly with functions to safeguard our supply chain and business operations.

Accountability:

  1. Assess and review vendor Business Continuity Plans, pandemic management strategy & IT disaster recovery plan at time of onboarding and periodically.
  2. Evaluate vendor risk associated with fallback in case of any disaster i.e., Natural disaster, Power outages, IT system failure, Pandemic etc.
  3. Review submitted documents related to Business continuity, disaster recovery plan and test reports to establish vendor capabilities.
  4. Determine vendor concentration and its impact on stakeholders/customers on loss of services.
  5. Coordinate with functions to compile testing schedules and ensure joint BCP testing is carried out.
  6. Ensure vendor BCP complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  7. Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in vendor BCP and recommend improvements or associated mitigation strategies.
  8. Maintain detailed records of BCP reviews and results.
  9. Prepare and submit reports for management on vendor BCP status.
  10. Conduct training sessions as necessary to enhance vendor understanding of BCP requirements.
  11. Act as primary point of contact for vendors regarding BCP-related matters.

Measures of Success:

  1. Compliance adherence.
  2. Satisfactory rating in audits.
  3. Timely submission of dashboards.
  4. Vendor BCP activity completion.
  5. Process documentation updation.
  6. Process adherence.

Technical Skills / Experience / Certifications:

Understanding of local regulatory requirements (legal/Compliance) with regards to Vendor BCP Management.

Competencies critical to the role:

  • Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Vendor Management skills.
  • Verbal & written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in any discipline from recognized university. Specialized degree in Risk Management preferred.

Preferred Industry:

Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI).
