About Our Team Lead:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Program Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, training, and driving the performance of Trip Leaders who oversee Senior Americans on Land tours in South India and Sri Lanka.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train Trip Leaders based on their compatibility with our organizational values (their skills and experience are secondary considerations).
  • Develop plans for hiring and training to ensure that all departures have high-performing Trip Leaders.
  • Lead meetings and training sessions for Trip Leaders in both office environments and on-the-road trip simulations.
  • Develop customized training plans for newly hired Trip Leaders.
  • Coaching Trip Leaders to achieve Regional Excellence Goals through regular live coaching via phone calls, video conferences, and in-person meetings.
  • Ride along with Trip Leaders during tours to provide support.
  • Organize annual trainings and mini-trainings in South India and Sri Lanka to equip the Trip Leader team with the skills necessary to meet excellence goals.
  • Assign Trip Leaders based on past performance and company needs.
  • Maintain regular interaction with travelers on-site.
  • Provide 24/7 emergency support to Trip Leaders.
  • Manage administrative duties while working on the road and in-office.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in hiring, training, coaching, and managing individual and team performances (experience in the travel sector is advantageous).
  • A strong leadership presence with flexibility, analytical thinking, creativity, independence, and excellent organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of South India and Sri Lanka.
  • A proven ability to motivate individuals while fostering relationships built on trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
  • General administrative skills including proficiency in database management and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presentation.
