Job Opportunity: System Test Engineer

You will create advanced testbeds using diverse networking devices and servers, conduct QA validation of 802.11 Wireless and proprietary features, and recreate customer issues in a laboratory environment to drive resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop system testbeds for network testing and evaluation
  • Perform comprehensive end-to-end validation of client to cloud architecture
  • Recreate customer issues in lab settings and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them efficiently
  • Conduct performance testing utilizing iPerf tools and methods
  • Review customer reports and enhance test coverage through strategic planning
  • Create detailed bugs in Jira and track them with the engineering team for effective resolution
  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption
  • Develop high-quality technical documentation for CS and QA teams
  • Train junior engineers on wireless technologies and best practices
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer with a strong background in system development
  • BE/ME/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 protocol standards and their applications
  • Experience in QA validation of Enterprise grade Wireless Access Points with a focus on quality assurance
  • Familiarity with routing and switching concepts, including network architecture and design
  • Hands-on experience with IEEE802.1x feature validation and implementation
  • Knowledge of various 802.11 protocols and their differences
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues based on wireless packet captures and analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CWNA/CWSP/CWAP certification for wireless networking expertise
  • Scripting skills in Python programming language
  • Experience with ISE/ClearPass solutions for network security and access control
