Network Support Specialist Role

This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive and efficient support to our global user base, ensuring a seamless experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, with expertise in Wireless Technologies, Routing & Switching, Security & VPNs, Security Cameras, VoIP Phones, and Door Access Systems.

The successful individual will be the first point of contact for users, providing personalized solutions to resolve issues and enhance the overall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Becoming an expert in designated areas of specialization.
  • Providing initial assistance to clients, crafting tailored action plans to address their concerns and offer insight into issue origins and impacts.
  • Gathering necessary background information, evaluating support interactions, and prioritizing requests based on severity and brand liability.
  • Offering responsive and insightful support to reinforce the team's mission to deliver exceptional service.
  • Conducting hands-on testing with provided equipment to identify potential UX roadblocks and suggest improvements.
  • Staying current with client products and features, particularly those receiving attention and feedback on social media platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with client products, though prior knowledge is not essential.
  • Knowledge of IP addresses and DHCP, Virtual Networks (VLANs), Domain Name Conversion (DNS), Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), Wireless communication, devices, and WiFi standards, VPNs, and sound judgment and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and comfort working in a dynamic environment.

A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience, is preferred.
