Job Title: Costing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Costing Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Settlement: Ensure timely cost settlement on CCPM projects for sheet metal, machined, rubber, and plastic parts.
  • Marginal Protection: Protect margins by analyzing part costs in line with internal customer requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Cost Negotiation: Conduct cost settlements with suppliers using Zero Base Costing (ZBC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodology.
  • Commodity Monitoring: Monitor monthly commodities to analyze expenses.
  • Raw Material Auditing: Audit raw material prices and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Optimization: Optimize input raw materials and post-operation expenses.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate Machine Hour Rates (MHR) with suppliers for competitive pricing.
  • Spend Analysis: Analyze spend to generate cost-saving ideas.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Process Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of draw, forming, machining, and surface finishing processes.
  • Quality Systems: Familiarity with quality systems, IATF 2016, core tools, and automotive standards.
  • Raw Material Knowledge: Understanding of raw material grades, process details, machine MHR rates, and raw material rates.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AUTOCAD and 3D software, with some experience.
  • Labor Knowledge: Knowledge of labor rates, electricity charges, and tax structures.

Requirements:

  • Degree: Diploma or BE (Mechanical) degree.
  • Experience: 8-14 years of experience in strategic sourcing.
