Job Opportunity

A leading global investment management firm seeks a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join its technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software and systems engineering, with experience in developing and maintaining distributed real-time systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play a critical operational role in developing and maintaining distributed, real-time systems that serve key stakeholders.
  • Optimize the operations of existing systems and infrastructure through automation and tooling.
  • Build out foundational technical components of a robust SRE program across multiple complex systems.
  • Collaborate with development and quant teams to ensure changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives.
  • Monitor system capacity and performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and sources of instability.
  • Review and provide feedback on automation code developed by peers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews, evaluating technologies and automation strategies.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell, ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and Configuration Management.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
