Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Operations Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing infrastructure operations for both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an effective infrastructure strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate the purchase of software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by management.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
  • Collaborate with senior management and peers to gain acceptance on alternate approaches.
  • Manage outsourced teams for daily operations and activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live DR activities and DR drills periodically.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network.
  • Ensure production incident management and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management for both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructures.
  • Strong program and project management expertise.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of infrastructure such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems, and networks.
  • Excellent knowledge and exposure to cloud computing.
Functional Competencies:
  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and transformation strategies.
  • Holistic understanding of all data center functions including production operations, change control, DR/business recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration consideration.
