Job Summary:

  • Oversees the administration of large-scale data systems to ensure optimal performance and support.
  • Analyzes existing database structures and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and security.
  • Utilizes expertise to design, implement, and maintain secure database configurations and best practices.
  • Collaborates with data engineers and developers to optimize data pipelines and ensure data integrity across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitors and administers Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters for high availability and performance.
  2. Manages Apache Kafka clusters, including topic management, performance tuning, and security.
  3. Develops and maintains automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible for deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.
  4. Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies, Big Data Technologies, and cloud-based solutions.

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of database administration, security, and performance optimization.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
