Job Opportunity:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our Big Data Engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Job Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will support the development of our Data Lake on Cloud and standardized Data Model. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to source data from various sources, including relational databases, NoSQL/document databases, and flat files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark Structured Streaming or Apache Flink on Kafka & Delta Lake
  • Develop expertise in working with multiple data sources, including relational databases (SQL Server / Oracle / DB2 / Netezza), NoSQL/document databases, and flat files
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop effective solutions to meet business needs

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in building data pipelines using batch processing with Apache Spark (Spark SQL, Dataframe API) or Hive query language (HQL)
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks platform and at least one Cloud Infra provider (Azure/AWS)
  • Experience with scripting languages (shell/bash) and familiarity with DevOps practices using Git version control
