Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead our data engineering initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines and integration solutions for structured and unstructured data sources and targets.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and business intelligence solutions on cloud platforms. Strong understanding of distributed computing and enterprise environments like Hadoop, GCP Cloud is required.

The role involves leading multiple data engagements on GCP Cloud for data engineering, data migration, data warehousing, and business intelligence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing high-volume, multi-thread batch, real-time, and event processing systems.
  • Implementing processes to validate data, monitor data quality, and ensure production data is accurate and available for stakeholders and business processes.
  • Mentoring young talent within the team, defining growth parameters, and tracking progress.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and be a team player with a passion for innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines and integration solutions.
  • Develop high-volume, multi-thread batch, real-time, and event processing systems.
  • Validate and monitor data quality, ensuring production data accuracy.
  • Mentor junior team members, define growth parameters, and track progress.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical, solutioning, and analytical roles.
  • Expertise in building and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Strong understanding of distributed computing and enterprise environments like Hadoop, GCP/AWS/Azure Cloud.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL technologies on Cloud like Spark, Pyspark/Scala, Dataflow, DataProc, EMR, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of one or more cloud and on-premise databases like Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Big Table, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Oracle, Teradata, MySQL, DB2, SQL Server, etc.
  • Exposure to No-SQL databases like Mongo dB, CouchDB, Cassandra, Graph dB, etc.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
