Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Our company seeks a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP and Azure.

The ideal candidate will have experience with designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-native architectures for large-scale applications and services.

A successful architect will utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and updates of complex systems. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform prototypes into production-ready solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing best practices in MLOps/AI Ops for model versioning, monitoring, and automation. This includes developing and maintaining network architecture, such as VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, etc.

The role requires collecting requirements, designing service & resource configuration, and implementing configuration for GCP and Azure resources/services. The candidate will also configure and manage VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and other network connectivity.

Other key responsibilities include implementing and managing cloud-based firewalls, load balancers, Meraki switches/access points, and other network security measures. The candidate will monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring low latency and high availability.

Collaboration is key in this role, as the candidate will work with external partners to transition client's existing on-prem network devices, ensuring seamless integration with cloud infrastructure. Automation of infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates is also a requirement.

Experience working with network scanning tools to determine access points & potential vulnerabilities is essential. Troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues in a timely manner is also crucial.

Responsibilities include monitoring cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Operations Suite, Datadog, Splunk, etc., implementing and managing security measures, including policies, encryption, etc.

Compliance with security standards and regulations is mandatory, and staying up-to-date with the latest cloud and network engineering trends, technologies, best practices is essential. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, contributing to the development of RFPs, PoCs, and client proposals are also key responsibilities.

Staying updated on emerging AI innovations, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and foundation models (GPT, Gemini, Copilot) is crucial.
