Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise OpenShift Architect to design, deploy, and manage large-scale OpenShift clusters across production and lab environments.

This role involves hands-on technical implementation, documentation, and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in solution architecture, deployment, security hardening, monitoring, storage integration, and supporting high-availability Kubernetes-based environments.

About the Job
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Create and implement RedHat OpenShift clusters across multiple environments.
    • Set up air-gapped OCP installations on infrastructure systems.
    • Develop detailed designs for OCP deployments.
    • Configure Multus for external communication and Portworx for database nodes.
    • Implement geo-redundancy and failover strategies.
  • Security Requirements
    • Apply CIS Security Hardening for Kubernetes and underlying systems.
    • Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), image policies, Kubernetes security policies, and certificate management.
    • Set up Ingress controllers, API server configurations, and HA Proxy load balancing with SSL and KeepAlive.
  • Infrastructure Management
    • Configure DNS, DHCP, NTP for cluster networking.
    • Integrate Kubernetes clusters with network switches and storage systems.
    • Implement SNMP alerting and monitoring.
  • Storage & Logging
    • Set up Portworx for persistent storage solutions.
    • Deploy and configure container registries.
    • Integrate Elasticsearch + Kibana for application logs.
    • Configure Rsyslog for node log forwarding, archival policies, and external analyzer integration.
    • Support sidecar containers for centralized log forwarding.
  • Monitoring & Observability
    • Deploy Prometheus & Grafana dashboards for monitoring cluster resources.
    • Configure alerts for node, pod, and persistent storage.
    • Ensure continuous monitoring of infrastructure and application workloads.
  • Cluster Administration & Operations
    • Perform installation, upgrades, and patching at node and Kubernetes level.
    • Manage backup and restore processes.
    • Validate cluster health via test deployments and functional checks.
    • Support application deployments and post-migration testing.
    • Support middleware installations on Kubernetes.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
    • Prepare detailed designs, operation procedures, and knowledge transfer documents.
    • Provide end-to-end documentation of the deployed platform.
    • Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams.
