We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the design and development of pressure control equipment that meets API 6A standards.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in surface pressure control equipment design, finite element analysis, and mechanical calculations. They should also be able to create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor or similar CAD tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Design and Development: Oversee the design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A standards.
  • Design Creation: Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor or similar CAD tools.
  • Analysis and Validation: Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and mechanical calculations to validate designs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams.
  • Engineering Support: Provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil and gas industry.
  • API 6A Expertise: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes.
  • CAD Skills: Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is essential.
  • Manufacturing Understanding: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
