Job Summary:

  • Provide technical expertise in subsea controls engineering to ensure the effective monitoring and maintenance of global subsea controls equipment.
  • Lead the delivery and maintenance of digital tools to support continuous improvement in subsea controls support, including data analysis and visualization, risk assessment, and database management.
  • Support offshore production operations by identifying control system anomalies using standard monitoring tools and dashboards.
  • Develop and review controls-related plans, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain global equipment strategies for subsea controls equipment.
  • Provide controls engineering support for annual integrity reviews, fit-for-service barrier evaluations, and incident investigations.
  • Collaborate with associated teams to ensure adequate equipment care, including instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
  • Document relevant failures and lessons learned in shared learning systems and share with the controls community.

We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Controls Specialist with a strong background in control systems, risk assessment, and data analysis.

  • Must Haves:
  • Relevant degree or certification in science or engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in control systems within operations, with a focus on diagnosing issues, risk assessment, and failure investigation.
  • Ability to review and understand electrical schematic and controls P&IDs.
  • Experience in using data analytical platforms to analyze data and develop automated condition monitoring reports and dashboards.
  • Track record of owning personal safety performance improvements and driving positive safety culture and behaviors.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple parties and promote one team performance.
  • Fluent English language skills to perform essential job functions.
  • Experience in engaging, managing, and building collaborative relationships with team members and suppliers.

Nice To Haves:

Chartered Engineer, experience in subsea production operations, deep understanding of subsea controls equipment, familiarity with controls-related industry specifications, and basic understanding of program logic and software programming language.
