Engineering Excellence Opportunity

As a seasoned professional in production operations, you will lead and oversee production teams in Chennai, utilizing your expertise in sheet metal fabrication, welding (TIG/MIG for stainless steel), CAD tools, and resource optimization to drive efficiency, ensure quality and safety standards, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires:

  • Leading shop floor operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and timely delivery.
  • Planning, scheduling, and prioritizing production activities in line with project and client requirements.
  • Providing technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG welding for stainless steel assemblies, assembly, and finishing processes.
  • Overseeing resource allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Driving compliance with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, EHS, and Kaizen.
  • Establishing SOPs and work instructions and implementing robust inspection processes.
  • Analysing KPIs (output, downtime, rejection, efficiency) and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supporting prototype integration and new product designs into the production process in coordination with R&D.
  • Mentoring production team members on best practices, welding methods, and safety protocols.
  • Initiating process improvement projects for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
  • Maintaining production documentation for traceability, audits, and client requirements.
  • Liaising with procurement and planning teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
