About the role:
Our client, a leading bank in Bahrain, is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Banking). This is a full-time, onsite, contractual role based in Bahrain with a high possibility of an extension.
The role holder will be responsible for conceptualization, launch and management of the Bank's products and supporting the Head of Department with Customer Centricity Initiatives. The client is seeking a candidate who excels on the asset and liability side, e.g.; types of deposit accounts, mortgages etc.
As such, he will be responsible for the development of new products, for driving profitability by optimising the pricing and features of finance & liability products ensuring it's management and roll out across sales channels. The role-holder will also be responsible for the continuous development of the products based on market trends and customer needs.
Product Development:
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholder on product ideation and perform studies to ensure product ideas are aligned to the bank strategy and meet commercial, technical and operational feasibility criteria.
- Own the product vision, collects business requirements and translates them into a product roadmap based on the Bank's objectives, customer needs and market trends.
- Develop and execute detailed business plan products, including target segments, detailed product design and structuring, product pricing, delivery channels, sales strategy and operational and customer service processes.
- Develop all documentation around the new product including Product Program, Go to Market Strategy, Process Notes and recommend relevant changes to policies and procedures.
- Provide relevant support to front line teams (both sales and customer support) including training, sales briefs, frequently asked questions (FAQs) and troubleshooting guides.
- Lead the new product approval process by getting approvals from relevant stakeholders.
- Partner with Legal & Compliance teams to ensure that products efficiently meet all regulatory requirements and all relevant regulatory communications are made.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Corporate Communications team on developing campaigns to support go-to-market strategy.
- Manage the product milestones within budget, scope and timeline, moderating or escalating where needed.
Product Management:
- Own and monitor products balance sheet and profit and loss (P&L) to constantly seek to rationalise, enhance and grow the product offerings to achieve balance sheet and P&L objectives.
- Enhance current products and services based on new industry trends or opportunities as well as identifying gaps in current products based on the feedback provided by front office teams and to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
- Prepare business requirements for product enhancement and works collaboratively with IT for implementation.
- Act as a product promoter internally and externally, working closely with Marketing & Corporate Communication team, to prepare the product marketing plan including sales & marketing material.
- Monitor product performance post roll-out and resolve any product issues or sales issues in order to ensure continuous product improvement.
- Serve as product expert and respond to requests and questions from internal business partners and the salesforce.
Customer Centricity:
- Secretary to the Bank's Customer Centricity Committee - arrange meetings, take minutes and track action points
- Running NPS surveys and monitoring key customer centricity metrics
- Customer Centricity Reporting
- Lead Customer Centricity Taskforce to roll out initiatives in line with CC directives.
Other Items:
- Conduct regular internal staff survey to measure employees' knowledge about the bank's products and services and identify areas of improvement.
- Communicate project progress regularly and concisely.
- Report of any suspicion of security violation/incident to the bank's systems or/and network to Risk Department.
- Conduct other duties and special projects as required.
This is a 6-month contractual role with a high possibility of an extension. The selected candidate will be required to relocate to Bahrain for this role.
