PPQM Consultant Job Description

The role of a PPQM Consultant involves taking end-to-end ownership of projects and providing valuable expertise. The candidate should have deep understanding of business process knowledge, ITIL processes, and project implementation methodologies.

The ideal candidate will be well-acquainted with ASAP and involved in various stages of project implementation like project preparation, business blueprint, realization/configuration, testing, end user training, go-live and production support.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and owning all aspects of technical development and delivery
  • Requirement gathering and understanding requirements and writing functional specification documents
  • Contributing as an individual and leading client-facing roles
  • SAP certification and domain experience are preferable
  • Estimating efforts, identifying risks, and providing technical support whenever needed
  • Demonstrating the ability to multitask and re-prioritizing responsibilities based on dynamic requirements
  • Leading and mentoring small-sized teams

The candidate should have in-depth knowledge in the below areas:

  • Master data - bill of materials-BOM
  • Work centers/resources, routings/recipe, production versions,
  • Material requirement planning -MRP
  • Configuration and integration with procurement, sales and distribution, new strategy definition
  • Batch management
  • Classification
  • Production order execution - order confirmation, goods issue, goods receipt and backflushing
  • Planning: forecasting, sales operation planning, LTP, PPDS

The candidate should also have experience in SAP PP-QM integration with third-party tools, notifications, master inspection characteristics-MICs, inspection plans, catalogues and code groups, change management-ECM/ECO, interfaces with MES, LIMS, QMS systems weighing scales, regression testing and user acceptance testing for verifying the functionality of the PPQM transactions.
