Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic retail leader to drive customer engagement and scale our brand's presence in India. This leadership role will shape the premium in-store experience for pet parents, ensuring every store reflects our ethos of trust, care, and community.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Growth & Strategy:

- Develop and execute a retail expansion roadmap, including store rollouts, performance improvement, and new market penetration.

- Oversee P&L accountability for the retail business, driving revenue growth, profitability, and customer loyalty.

Customer Experience & Brand Engagement:

- Champion a differentiated in-store experience built around pet care education, product discovery, and customer delight.

- Collaborate with marketing to launch store activations, loyalty programs, and community-building initiatives.

- Ensure seamless integration of offline and online journeys for an omnichannel brand experience.

Operational Excellence:

- Oversee all aspects of store operations, merchandising, and inventory management.

- Establish and monitor KPIs such as footfall, sales conversion, basket size, and NPS; implement interventions for continuous improvement.

- Drive compliance with brand SOPs, visual merchandising standards, and customer service protocols.

Leadership & People Development:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire regional managers and store teams to deliver exceptional results.

- Build a high-performance, customer-centric culture rooted in accountability and care.

- Invest in training programs that enhance product knowledge, service orientation, and operational capabilities.

Market Insights & Competitiveness:

- Track market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to shape localized retail strategies.

- Innovate with product mix, visual merchandising, and promotions to strengthen brand leadership.

Candidate Profile:

- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Retail Management, or related field.

- Experience: 12 to 15 years of retail leadership, with 3 to 5 years in a regional/Head of Retail role.

- Domain Exposure: Premium retail, lifestyle, consumer goods, or specialty categories (pet care exposure will be a strong plus).

Core Competencies:

- Strong P&L management and analytical decision-making.

- Proven track record of scaling retail footprints and improving store KPIs.

- Ability to design and deliver differentiated customer experiences.

- Inspirational leadership, with a focus on team capability building.

- Strong collaboration skills across marketing, supply chain, and merchandising.

- Pet care or related field experience will be an added advantage.
