Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and operational excellence of Accounting and Finance platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for delivering high-quality applications and data services that meet demanding requirements for accuracy, compliance, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial applications and data pipelines meet defined service level agreements (SLAs), service level objectives (SLOs), and service level indicators (SLIs).
  • Build automation for deployments, monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for accounting applications and data pipelines.
  • Lead and participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence of production issues.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and compliance controls in financial systems.
  • Partner with software engineers, data engineers, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure operational needs are met from development through production.
  • Ensure financial applications and data pipelines meet audit, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Drive post-incident reviews, implement lessons learned, and proactively identify opportunities to improve system resilience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Engineering, ideally supporting financial or mission-critical applications.
  • Strong experience with monitoring/observability tools.
  • Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, and financial system integrations from an operational support perspective.
  • Strong scripting/programming experience for automation and tooling.
  • Proven ability to manage incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
  • Experience ensuring compliance, security, and audit-readiness in enterprise applications.

Must Have Skills:

  • Strong experience with Snowflake and SQL.
  • Hands-on SRE and DevOps expertise, including CI/CD and automation.
  • Solid monitoring and observability skills.
  • Proven experience supporting financial systems.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Exposure to FinOps practices for optimizing cloud spend.
  • Familiarity with containers and orchestration.
  • Experience building resilience into data pipelines and ensuring auditability.
  • Broader knowledge of emerging frameworks and tools in cloud and finance tech.
