Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute incident management processes
  • Build and maintain reliable application suites
  • Provide technical support in life cycle planning and problem management
  • Ensure platform performance meets enterprise objectives through monitoring and timely service restoration
  • Implement automation of applications tasks
  • Provide technical support for systems/platforms according to SLA's
  • Design and develop resiliency in application code, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in incident management
  • Able to understand architecture and design of applications and identify or narrow focus for an incident based on symptoms
  • Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and prevent recurring problems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT field with 3 years applicable experience in design/administration/support of platforms; or bachelor's degree in IT field with 2 years applicable experience in design/administration/support of platforms
  • 3 or more years of experience as Systems Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer
  • 3 or more years of experience with ops automation using scripting language such as Python or Ansible
  • Site Reliability Engineering: Knowledge of reliability engineering theories and methodologies
  • Performance Measurement and Tuning: Knowledge of system performance testing and programming
  • CI/CD Pipeline: Knowledge of CI, CD pipeline concepts and tools
  • Application Maintenance: Knowledge of production applications and ability to monitor functions and resolve issues
  • Software Engineering: Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices
  • Agile Development: Knowledge of agile methodologies and development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience with VMWare VDI implementations
  • Experience with Dynatrace APM and synthetic monitoring
  • Experience with airline applications and infrastructure technology
