About the Role

This role is part of a growing Engineering team in India, collaborating with teams in the United States, Nigeria, and Kenya to strengthen our product and develop new lines.

You'll work closely with Product and Data Science teams to design and maintain multiple technologies, including APIs, credit scoring and underwriting systems, payments integrations, and operations tools. We face complex technical challenges, such as maintaining financial systems and accessing data sources for our algorithmic credit model.

  • Develop scalable APIs and backend systems for our frontend clients, including mobile apps.
  • Integrate with various third-party systems, including payment gateways, identity providers, and messaging platforms.
  • Contribute to creating new financial products.
  • Scale our backend services to handle growing traffic and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data architectures that integrate disparate data sources.
  • Develop expertise in Data Modelling and Organization best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with toolstacks like dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Metabase, etc.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python.
