
Senior Operations Manager

This is a senior-level position responsible for leading strategic process improvement projects. The primary objective of this role will be to implement efficient methods to optimize facility utilization, workflow organization, and collaboration with colleagues to design effective workstations and processes.
The job holder will facilitate groups & individuals across all functions to identify quality improvement projects with a focus on key business processes and decide on methodology application. This includes communicating progress to the Champion & steering committee team and implementing best practices/WCM Practices.
- As Six Sigma coach, provide expert advice and assistance to Green Belts, Process Owners, and Team Members in statistics, change management, and process design strategies.
- Motivate team members to participate effectively in improvement activities, reward those who achieve good performance every month, and implement SPC systems/tools in the department to monitor/control processes.
The position works closely with global teams to develop an annual lean transformation plan for each site or functional area based on value stream maps, strategy deployment objectives, and a lean assessment to drive waste reduction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and influence others in teams through education/communication that the change in methodology is beneficial.
- Partner with stakeholders at all levels to identify high-impact improvement opportunities and their business champions.
- Track/report project results and ensure improved processes stay improved.
- Lead multi-disciplined teams in addressing quality issues and executing systemic improvement projects in a timely manner.
- Work on one of the company's highest priorities.
- Facilitate and coach teams to help support business growth with a high level of empowerment.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports pertaining to operations and share concerns in a timely manner.
- Help the operations team with data analysis using analytical tools.
- Conduct refresh training on Lean six sigma and statistical process control tools.
- Drive savings and improvement projects through Lean six sigma.
- Use the safety calendar as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and promote an EHS culture.
- Ensure adherence to basic quality management system.
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or equivalent related field.
Experience: Overall experience of 4 to 7 years, out of which three (3) or more years of LEAN & Six Sigma experience and demonstrated ability to perform essential functions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Black belt certification is advantageous.
- Working experience in Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement.
- Strong business sense, fast learner, self-motivated with high discipline.
- Strong facilitation skills and analytical techniques.
- Ability to understand quickly and create proper data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and presentation/communication skills.
- Proficient in various tools such as Kanban, 5S, visual management, Poka-Yoke methods, VSM, pull systems, etc.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Two years of experience leading Six Sigma projects.
- Able to demonstrate proven team leadership skills and influence others at all levels.
- Result-oriented in creating value and driven by 'greater' results.
- Forward-thinking and analytical mindset.
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to achieve respective Business Process Improvement KPIs as per targets.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
