
Human Resources Champion

The purpose of this role is to serve as a key business partner and champion for the HR function within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic HR Partner
- Spearhead employee relations, human resource programs and practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and align people strategy accordingly.
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Responsible for procuring a talented workforce to ensure business continuity. Determine manpower requirements based on business priorities and develop effective hiring strategies. Ensure seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
- HR Manpower Planning and Budgeting
- Contribute to the budgeting process for all HR-related items, including manpower costs and operational expenses. Regularly review and monitor actual spend against approved budgets, optimize utilization of manpower budgets, and conduct trend analysis to ensure compliance with established targets.
- Performance Management
- Drive performance management initiatives and annual compensation reviews for the site. Train line managers on goal-setting and performance feedback sharing. Enable business leaders to make informed decisions regarding promotions, compensation adjustments, etc.
- Talent Management
- Implement regular talent reviews and ensure development/retention plans are executed. Develop succession plans for critical roles. Identify talent priorities for the site, recognize development needs, and drive programs to address these gaps.
- Learning and Development
- Foster a culture of learning and high performance. Identify training needs, create a training calendar, and evaluate training effectiveness. Collaborate with corporate HR teams to implement various training programs for the site.
- HR Compliance and Statutory Obligations
- Ensure adherence to HR legal compliances by monitoring and implementing applicable statutory laws, maintaining records, and representing the organization at relevant associations. Liaise with statutory bodies and government agencies to maintain compliance.
- Labour Management
- Maintain harmonious and productive industrial relations. Track productivity and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements by vendors. Create a healthy work environment, resolve employee grievances in a timely manner, and take necessary disciplinary actions if required.
- Employee Engagement and Wellbeing
- Promote initiatives and activities that impact key drivers of employee engagement. Lead wellbeing initiatives at the site with an objective to achieve holistic wellbeing of employees.
- HR Operations
- Oversee and review all HR operations related to the employee lifecycle with a focus on streamlining and enhancing efficiency.
- Special Projects
- Support special HR-related projects to meet specific business needs from time to time.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in handling HR functions, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
