Industrial Insulation Technician

The role of an Industrial Insulation Technician is a critical one, ensuring the efficiency and safety of industrial equipment.

As an experienced technician, you will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our systems by applying, removing, and repairing insulation on various mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems to control noise and maintain temperatures.
  • Select appropriate insulation materials based on their heat-retaining or excluding characteristics.
  • Use hand or power tools to fabricate, assemble, repair, and install insulation.
  • Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with covers of metallic or nonmetallic materials.
  • Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use.
  • Inspect and assess installations and conditions, and adjust, repair, or replace insulation materials to ensure effective insulation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience as an Industrial Insulator.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of insulation systems in industrial settings.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina to handle physical demands of the job.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations and best practices.
  • High school diploma or Professional School diploma or equivalent.
  • A certificate in insulation or a related field is preferred.
