We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the implementation, integration, and ongoing management of our payment platform.

This hybrid role combines engineering expertise with administrative ownership. The ideal candidate has successfully delivered a full payment implementation and can act as the subject-matter expert for all payment-related systems and operations.

About the Role

The job requires owning the end-to-end implementation of payment modules, configuring workflows for invoicing, recurring billing, chargebacks, and refunds. It also involves managing payment accounts, user roles, permissions, and integrations with other systems.

  • Own the end-to-end implementation of payment modules (Payments, Billing, Connect, Subscriptions).

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with PCI, GDPR, KYC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerts to ensure reliability and transparency of payment flows.

Engineering & Test Data

  • Design and maintain API integrations between payment platforms and internal platforms (CRM, ERP, analytics).
  • Build and manage test data environments to simulate payment flows and edge cases.

Business Process & Operations

  • Translate business process flows into payment configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payment issues, disputes, and operational bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a payment developer/engineer, including leading at least one payment implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of payment APIs, webhooks, and modules.
  • Experience with test data creation, automation, and CI/CD testing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Backend development experience (Node.js, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with finance/accounting systems and data tools (SQL).

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and business teams.
