Job Title: Compliance Officer

This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely submission of regulatory documents to the relevant authorities, collaborating with stakeholders from operations, customer care, business products, finance, and insurers.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory updates and changes, including new business submissions, schedules, SP submissions, complaints, financial statements, and compliance certificates, adhering to stipulated timelines.
  • Coordinate with business units and BIU teams to track and maintain regulatory registers in an appropriate format, ensuring submission to regulatory bodies within required deadlines.
  • Communicate with regulators as per regulations, notifying them of branch openings, closures, directorship changes, and other essential information.
  • Update and review regulatory databases regularly, uploading and tracking salesperson and SP details.
  • Manage the renewal of applicable licenses, such as CA/ISNP/Envoy, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and maintaining repository records.
  • Issue NOCs for exited SPs, detag PAN from IRDA & Envoy, and maintain record-keeping.
  • Apply for telemarketing licenses and submit regulatory data to regulatory bodies according to guidelines.
  • Track and renew various licenses, including IRDAI CA, PO, ISNP, Envoy, and others, along with product teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain the regulatory checklist, tracking data maintenance, registers, timely submissions, grievances, and reconciliations with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate monthly reconciliation sign-offs with finance, product teams, and insurers, addressing gaps identified during the process.
  • Keep track of agreements, SLAs, and commission structures for insurers.
  • Monitor and resolve grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and business teams, maintaining a grievance register as per regulatory requirements.
  • Provide audit checklists and coordinate with functional audit teams to track and resolve audit findings for branches.
  • Conduct compliance checks on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) cases, providing checklists to the compliance team and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Record and update insurance litigation cases, informing regulators as needed.
  • Perform any additional tasks delegated by management or supervisors as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of experience in a similar domain.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
