Senior Developer Advocate

The position of Senior Developer Advocate focuses on spearheading the development and implementation of cloud-native microservices using Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, and Async I/O.
This role is accountable for leading the design and architecture of scalable systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Confluent Kafka, Docker, Terraform, and GCP infrastructure services including Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, Artifact Registry, and Eventarc.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize APIs, worker services, and event-driven systems to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or other tools and manage secure and scalable deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives around performance tuning, caching (Redis), and data transformation including XSLT, XML/XSD processing.
- Support version control and code collaboration using Git/GitHub.
- Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and ensure quality through unit testing frameworks like Pytest or unittest.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into maintainable solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Expert-level knowledge of Python programming language.
- Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, and Async I/O.
- Experience with cloud-native microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of Confluent Kafka, Docker, Terraform, and GCP infrastructure services.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and mentor junior developers.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
