Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Design Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our electronic products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and fabrication analysis in Printed Circuit Board (PCB).
  • Analyze testability and generate Design for Test (DFT) reports, as well as simulate mechanical assembly process and create Design for Assembly (DFA) reports.
  • Create DFx procedure and checklist as per customer requirements, generating reports according to findings and observations based on industry standards.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing teams to define DFx requirements and rules, ensuring adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.
  • Ensure timely generation and circulation of DFx Reports to stakeholders.
  • Mentor the team, guiding them towards effective deliverables, and train new and existing team members on relevant software and tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues, preparing KPI Reports for weekly/monthly operation reviews.
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge of PCBA processes, including stencil printing, solder paste printing, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave-soldering, assembly, and box build.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Familiarity with PCB fabrication processes, PCB layers, PCB design, and electronic component packages at all levels.
  • Ability to define DFx procedures and checklists.
  • Knowledge of PCBA test development processes, including In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Component Testing (FCT), and Flying Probe Test.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Hands-on experience with DFM module software, such as VayoPro, Valor NPI, and SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of 3D designs of products and simulation of product assembly processes.
  • Aptitude to work with multi-functional teams to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and processes.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) operations and manufacturing engineering.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (B. Tech), or Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 4-7 years' experience in DFx methodologies, PCBA DFM process, DFT, and DFA analysis.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are mandatory. Good analytical skills, coaching and mentoring skills, conflict resolution, reporting, and decision-making skills are also required.
