HVAC Systems Designer for Electric Buses

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC systems designer to join our team in designing and developing efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems tailored for electric buses. The ideal candidate will have expertise in integrating battery thermal management systems and working with cross-functional teams to define HVAC performance requirements and constraints.

Job Description:
  • Design and develop customized HVAC systems for electric buses, focusing on power consumption and range impact.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to select and specify HVAC components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, and sensors.
  • Develop 2D and 3D CAD models using tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo.
  • Perform thermal simulations and load calculations to optimize system design for performance and energy efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • AC system designer with experience in bus HVAC systems.
  • Hands-on experience in AC system prototyping and testing, including environmental chambers and airflow testing.
  • Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools, such as ANSYS, Flowtherm, and GT-SUITE.
  • Familiarity with CAN communication, control systems, and integration with vehicle ECUs.
