About the Job

Recruitment consultants have been mandated to hire a seasoned studio director for a leading global design firm with 11 studios across the globe. The company spans multiple continents, offering diverse career opportunities.

The successful candidate will lead the establishment and leadership of our Mumbai office, developing an expansion-focused business plan for the Indian market.

This role requires a strong portfolio of large-scale projects, including commercial, workplace, retail, hospitality, logistics, or mixed-use projects, with at least a decade in studio/office leadership roles.

  • 15–22 years of experience in architecture, with at least a decade in studio/office leadership roles.
  • B.Arch / M.Arch (Master's degree or international academic exposure highly desirable).
Key Responsibilities

The Studio Director will be responsible for:

  • Inspiring and promoting our company culture across the office.
  • Identifying new business opportunities to support revenue objectives in accordance with local business development targets.
  • Managing key accounts obtaining and maintaining commissions and developing a sustained track record of securing new clients and opportunities.
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring team members to achieve their professional goals.
  • Taking oversight and responsibility for architectural projects at all work stages to ensure the desired results within our quality management system.
  • Managing resources and coordinating workflow between the Mumbai office and other global offices on joint projects.
  • Contribute to the business through consistent profits on sustainable fee turnover for projects under your direction.
  • Reporting monthly accounts through our global practice management systems.
  • Contributing to our visibility, reputation & thought leadership/design leadership by publishing articles, posts, or as a speaker on professional platforms and events.
  • Attending Management and Board Meetings as required.
