Lead UAS Structural Design Specialist:
We are seeking an experienced structural design engineer to oversee the conceptual design, analysis and testing of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) from concept through manufacturing and flight testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop & analyze complex UAS structures including airframes, landing gear and payloads
- Utilize advanced CAD/FEA tools such as Solid Works and CATIA for simulation and optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on composite materials and lightweight structure development
- Mentor junior engineers in aerospace design principles and practices
- Drive projects from inception through prototype testing and delivery
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years in aerospace engineering, defense industries or related fields
- Proven experience in CAD/FEA, composite materials and project leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
