Job Description

The Senior Associate role encompasses a multitude of responsibilities, primarily focusing on business valuation for various ASC guidelines, real estate, complex securities, and embedded derivatives. This involves analyzing historical financial data to explain business trends and identify potential risks.

  • Key responsibilities include developing discount rates, conducting financial statement analysis, performing market research, and constructing and reviewing valuation models.
  • Additionally, the role entails assisting with the design and preparation of valuation reports, presenting analyses and conclusions to internal stakeholders and external clients, and collaborating closely with associate-level personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration is mandatory. An advanced degree and/or certifications like MBA, CA, or CFA are highly preferred.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience performing work related to fair value, debt, equity, purchase price allocation, and goodwill impairments in a public accounting, consulting, or investment banking environment.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and experience in traditional valuation methods.
  • Experience in valuing contingent consideration and building, analyzing, and reviewing financial models for high-level decision-making is essential.
  • Comprehensive experience with financial databases, track record of managing multiple projects, and demonstrated technical skills working with financial models in Excel are also required.
