Valuation Specialist

This role focuses on high-level decision making through complex business valuations, financial data analysis, and model development.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct thorough valuations of businesses, intangible assets, and complex securities for ASC 350, 360, 718/409A, 820, and 805, as well as real estate and embedded derivatives.
    2. Analyze historical financial results to identify trends and risks.
    3. Evaluate assumptions in future financial projections.
    4. Develop discount rates (WACC, IRR, WARA, etc.).
    5. Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis, including common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis.
    6. Conduct market research and estimate industry growth.
    7. Construct and review valuation and other financial models.
    8. Assist with report preparation and presentation of findings to internal management and external clients.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree and/or certifications are preferred.
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in fair value, purchase price allocation, goodwill impairments, or similar roles in public accounting, consulting, or investment banking.
    • Strong understanding of financial valuation theory and methodologies.
    • Experience with traditional valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow and guideline public company method.
    • Comprehensive experience with financial databases like Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Excel.
    • Proven track record of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
