Job Title: Planning and Estimation Expert

The role of a Planning and Estimation Expert is pivotal in project planning, scheduling, and tracking through regular weekly and monthly progress reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible Schedule Planning: Align drawings, materials, manpower, and contractors with schedule baselines and milestones; coordinate with internal departments for execution readiness.
  • Execution Coordination: Share approved schedules with site teams, highlight critical paths, and verify actual progress through site visits and lead/lag analysis.
  • Progress Tracking & Documentation: Monitor daily site activities using master bar charts; track drawing receipts, material requests, and maintain stage-wise tracing reports with revision logs.
  • Reporting & Cost Analysis: Prepare monthly progress and costing reports; support estimation and cash flow forecasting with accurate data inputs.
  • Risk Management & Manpower Allocation: Identify and escalate project risks; assist in manpower planning and ensure adequacy to meet project timelines.
  • BQ & Cost Estimation: Analyze architectural and structural drawings to quantify civil, structural, finishing, and MEP works; develop detailed cost projections and review BBS.
  • Vendor Evaluation & Rate Analysis: Evaluate vendor quotations, prepare cost comparisons, and support procurement negotiations using current market rates.
  • Budget Tracking & Forecasting: Monitor project budgets, update forecasts based on scope changes, and maintain inflation-adjusted cost databases.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with design, execution, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment of estimates with project goals.
  • Cost Risk Management: Identify potential cost variances, maintain historical data, and implement mitigation strategies for financial control.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in estimation for high-rise residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and market rates.
  • Hands-on experience with estimation software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • MS Projects/ Farvision experience will be preferred.
