Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated financial professional with 3 to 4 years of experience to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and a proven track record in financial statement preparation and compliance.

This role requires a solid foundation in Accounting Standards and GST regulations.

The candidate should possess the passion to bring value to the job and be ready to play a dynamic role that is challenging and all-encompassing.

Industry Background: D2C / Ecommerce / Retail / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Accounting Standards and GST regulations.
  • Month-End Closure: Manage the entire month-end book closure process, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
  • Revenue and Expense Management: Conduct a thorough review of expenses to ensure proper classification and recognition. Oversee revenue recognition processes in line with accounting standards.
  • GST Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.). Stay updated on changes in GST laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare various financial reports for management, highlighting key trends and providing insightful analysis on financial performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting operations.
  • Internal Control and Compliance: Assist in designing and implementing standard operating procedures across the company to ensure compliance and control.
  • Technology tools and ERP implementation: Opportunity to implement technology solutions to improve employee productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant accounting or finance role.
  • Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and month-end closing.
  • Experienced in Team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Accounting Standards and GST regulations is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
