Job Description

This position will support, facilitate and lead strategic, high-impact process improvement projects. Deploying techniques of definition, measurement, analysis, improvement and control.

The primary objective of this position is to implement lean methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste by optimizing facility utilization, organizing workflow, and collaborating with colleagues to design efficient workstations and processes to significantly impact Company's ability to improve on-time performance and working capital.

Facilitating groups & individuals across all functions to identify the projects for quality improvement with a focus on key business processes & deciding on the application of methodology.

Communicating with Champion & steering committee team on the progress of quality improvement projects and implementing best practices/WCM practices.

As Six Sigma coach, providing expert advice and assistance to Green Belts, Process Owners and Team Members in the areas from statistics to change management to process design strategies.

Gathering and analyzing data about team activities, monitoring the progress of six sigma projects to ensure that timelines are adhered to, focusing on key processes that influence customer value elements and guiding Operations teams to minimize variability through the use of process capability index as a tool.

Motivating team members to participate effectively and follow improvement activity, rewarding team members who perform exceptionally well every month. Implementing SPC systems and tools in the department to monitor and control the process.

This position will work closely with global teams to develop an annual lean transformation plan for each site or functional area based on value stream maps, Strategy Deployment objectives, and a lean assessment to drive waste reduction.

  • Partnering with business stakeholders at all levels in the organization to identify high-impact improvement opportunities and their business champions.
  • Tracking/reporting project results and ensuring that improved processes stay improved.
  • Leading multi-disciplined teams in the process of addressing quality issues and executing systemic improvement projects in a timely manner.
  • Working on one of the highest management priorities.
  • Facilitating and coaching teams to help and support business growth with a high level of empowerment.
  • Preparing weekly, monthly reports pertaining to operations.
  • Preparing monthly plant reports and sharing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Helping Operations teams with data analysis using analytical tools.
  • Conducting refresh training to shop floor on Lean six sigma and statistical process control tools.
  • Actively driving savings and improvement projects through Lean six sigma.
  • Actively using the safety calendar (or contributing to activities prescribed in the Manager's calendar) as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and promote EHS culture development.
