Job Summary:

The Head of Actuarial serves as the strategic leader of the actuarial team, providing guidance on pricing, risk management, financial modeling, regulatory compliance, and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing and Risk Management

  • Develop and implement actuarial models to price life insurance products accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with life insurance business, ensuring a stable and profitable portfolio.

Financial Modeling

  • Design and develop financial models to analyze business performance and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results, providing transparency and accountability.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, minimizing risk exposure.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong reputation.

Product Development

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop new life insurance products that meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide actuarial input to drive business growth and profitability, leveraging expertise to inform product development.

Requirements:

Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the actuarial field, with a proven track record of success.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in life insurance pricing, risk management, and actuarial modeling, with expertise in relevant software and tools.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and financial modeling tools, enabling efficient and accurate analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in an insurance broking is preferred, with a strong network and industry knowledge.
