Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to work in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational monitoring, reporting, and functioning of wireless, routing, and switching infrastructure across multiple locations. They will also maintain enterprise network infrastructure and its operational performance through technical network troubleshooting as needed.
In addition, the specialist will liaise with vendors, TAC, and support teams to identify problems, scope responsibility, conduct root cause analysis, and implement resolutions that meet incident and problem management requirements.
Other key responsibilities include supervising network infrastructure changes, patch deployment, version upgrades, and fixes to meet vulnerability and change management requirements. The specialist will also collaborate with internal teams and provide support and assistance for network incidents and requests.
Maintaining accurate network inventory, documentation, and MIS reports is also crucial for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess experience in network infrastructure operations, managing or supervising network support teams, and in-depth conceptual knowledge of network routing, switching, wireless, and security.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Routing/Switching/Wireless hardware platforms, configuration, and troubleshooting skills are also essential. Familiarity with enterprise firewall (site/VPN tunneling) and QoS traffic shaping in network environments is beneficial.
Able to work independently in a team environment and as a team leader, having excellent communication and collaboration skills is crucial. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, along with additional Cisco certifications, will be preferred.
