The role of an Inventory Manager involves overseeing the organization's stock levels to ensure they meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and management of inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory
  • Monitoring of inventory levels and coordination with production and procurement teams to forecast demand and manage scheduling activities
  • Conducting regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
  • Ensuring that manufacturing processes are not hindered by non-availability of raw materials, semi-finished parts, or other essential components

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of inventory professionals to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Providing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance

Process Improvement:

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce lead times, and improve overall logistics efficiency
  • Utilizing data analytics and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to drive decision-making and optimize operations

Compliance and Safety:

  • Maintaining compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all inventory-related activities
  • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for the team

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on inventory levels, logistics performance, and key metrics to senior management
  • Analyzing data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and make informed decisions

A successful candidate will have experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills are also required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
