As a senior tax professional, you will play a key role in driving business growth through effective tax planning and compliance.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mergers and Acquisitions Taxation Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing advisory engagements for multinational companies, ensuring strategic execution, regulatory compliance, and optimal tax efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
    • Evaluate tax structuring options for multinational clients to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimize tax efficiency.
    • Develop and implement end-to-end regulatory compliance processes for acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to legal requirements.
    • Plan and execute tax due diligence work, advising clients on negotiation of transaction terms and documents.
    • Devise practical approaches to resolving tax issues in structuring assignments and conduct comprehensive reviews of business operations to identify tax planning opportunities.
  • Client Management & Business Development:
    • Proactively communicate with clients to ensure timely updates and development of assignments.
    • Build strong relationships with CFOs and Tax Directors to create a high-quality professional network.
    • Identify and ideate leads from public and private sources, evaluating feasibility of new opportunities.
  • A/C Mining/Revenue:
    • Monitor industry trends and developments to identify new business opportunities in existing clients.
    • Broaden credibility by delivering high-quality solutions and building rapport with Principal/Partner's client and key stakeholders to ensure repeat business.
  • Knowledge Management:
    • Analyze tax compliance landscape and explore ways technology can enhance the compliance process.
    • Acquire industry insights to improve current services and develop content for external events and seminars.
  • Brand Management:
    • Promote expertise and scope of service at various external forums.
    • Share knowledge and learning at external forums to increase visibility and credibility.
  • People Management:
    • Provide guidance and support to the team to deliver on assignments.
    • Encourage people to leverage each other's strengths and contribute to a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Client Delivery:
    • Review available information and assess data/documents required from clients to provide optimal solutions.
    • Draft memoranda, opinions, and reports to support Partners/Principal.
    • Build client relationships and develop a deep understanding of client requirements and business.
  • Client Support:
    • Offer necessary data and information to assist clients as needed.
    • Capture key outcomes of client meetings and share comprehensive summaries.
  • Ideation/Innovation:
    • Devise litigation plans and solutions to effectively resolve clients' tax disputes.
  • Internal Processes:
    • Review engagement letters and monitor invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Establish and maintain data controls for research papers and perform regular hygiene checks.
    • Prepare service summaries and review important client communications.
    • Ensure all facts and research are recorded securely.
