Job Title: Finance Specialist - Strategic Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Specialist to join our team as a strategic advisor. This role will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and investor communications for start-ups and high-growth companies.

The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles. They will also possess excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

About the Role:

  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to start-ups, providing guidance on budgeting, MIS reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Build and implement financial discipline and governance frameworks for scaling businesses.
  • Support valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions.
  • Lead buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects, including financial health checks, revenue/margin analysis, working capital assessments, and historical reviews.
  • Provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions, including cross-border setups, holding structures, ESOPs, and exits.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • CA with 4–6 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory or in a start-up finance team with exposure to FP&A and fundraise projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles.
  • Proven track record in client servicing and team management.
  • Excellent communication skills explaining complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
