Job Description

As a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our team on exciting projects involving fixed income analysis and valuation, quantitative and AI-based financial modeling, debt market and credit research, and technology and automation in finance.

You will be responsible for calculating yield to maturity and assessing returns on different types of fixed-income securities, determining present value of securities and assessing market pricing strategies, comparing investment options such as corporate bonds, fixed deposits, and mutual funds, developing financial models in Excel, Python, or R to assess risk and return metrics, implementing AI-driven approaches for analyzing credit risk and probability of default, working on Value at Risk (VaR) simulations and machine learning models for risk assessment, analyzing corporate bond spreads, relative valuations, and structured finance instruments, conducting data cleaning and visualization for sovereign credit research and CDS time series data, assisting in the structuring and evaluation of project finance and asset-backed securities, understanding Microsoft Excel AI tools for financial modeling, developing and testing AI models for credit derivatives and portfolio risk assessment, and working on FinTech tools like Virtual Risk Analyser and Virtual Portfolio Analyser.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A student from any academic discipline with a strong foundation in finance and mathematics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Python, and/or R, and experience with AI and machine learning tools.
