Job Title: Senior Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for critically evaluating financial aspects of disability claims and providing claim owners with accurate calculations and recommendations.

To perform these tasks, the ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical and analytical skills, as well as a general knowledge of disability concepts, contacts, policies, terms, and products. Proficiency in disability claims systems and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

FBS personnel must be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including claim honours, internal departments, and employers. They will work independently with minimal support and demonstrate a high level of end customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate basic monthly earnings and basic weekly earnings for production line Long-term Disability (LTD) and Short-term Disability (STD).
  • Perform detailed reviews of claim forms, claim activities, payroll, notes, and other documents.
  • Work as a second set of eyes for claim honours by identifying and suggesting action plans and outstanding tasks for LTD or STD files.
  • Communicate with claim owners and other internal departments regarding benefits, US payroll, and contracts.
  • Ensure that benefits are calculated based on the contract.
  • Provide accurate calculations and recommendations to claim honours in a single attempt.
  • Work effectively with the team and other departments.
Requirements
  • At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in commerce or finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in Group insurance, US payroll, US healthcare, and claims adjudication, preferably disability claims or US payroll or both.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal support.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  • Knowledge of ERISA regulations, offsets, and deductions, disability durations, and social security procedures.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
