Database Administrator Job Description

This is a senior level role that involves designing and implementing database solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing databases, with expertise in SQL and stored routines. Experience with HA Proxy, ProxySQL or MaxScale is a plus.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing database solutions to meet client requirements
  • Managing and maintaining large scale MySQL deployments
  • Configuring HA and clustering solutions
  • Sharding architecture and techniques
  • Monitoring and analyzing key metrics for day-to-day performance
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 4 years of experience in MySQL management
  • Experience in configuring HA and clustering solutions
  • Large scale MySQL deployments
  • MySQL sharding architecture and techniques
  • Ability to work with Linux/Unix based OS Environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and professional skills

In addition, it would be beneficial to have experience with MS SQL, software as a service industry, and cloud experience.
