Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team in developing and optimising data driven products and services for our product suite.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting future-state solutions, maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical product data models, and assisting in process and performance optimisation for data access.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of technology innovators and entrepreneurs who are passionate about improving drug, vaccine and device safety monitoring and public health surveillance.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Design and architect future-state solutions
  • Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical product data models
  • Assist in process and performance optimisation for data access
  • Support database tuning and optimisation
  • Guide and mentor less experienced software developers
  • Support and resolve base product defects and incidents in client testing and production environments
  • Stay up-to-date with recent technology trends and tools

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive professional data product development experience
  • Design, development, documentation, and maintenance across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience in designing and implementing data products, creating secure data solutions, data modelling, and SQL query performance tuning
  • Relational databases experience
  • Efficient data design and access skills
  • GXP/Computer Systems Validation principles knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
